* Recharge an item you're wearing by dragging it to a hotkey slot and then placing the mana stone on it there * Drag a whole backpack onto a vendor and it filters out everything that vendor doesn't buy * Hide an entire sack on a slain bunny by placing the bag into the monster's backpack slots above it's normal loot-slots to change spells without using the hotkey numer-- *Use the delete ket to scroll left on your spell bar and the page down key to scroll right---- *To scroll to the different spell tabs use insert to scroll left and page up to scroll right, works well when you have allot of spells on your bars and you are out of hotkeys---- it will also roll to the 1st spell on the bar if you scroll all the way to the right to the end of the spells on that particular bar.. *Stepping behind a Lugian when he begins his rock throwing animation will cause him to put his rocks away and pull out his melee weapon. *If you double click on a wrapped bundle of arrowheads then click on a wrapped bundle of shafts you get 250 arrows...quick, easy, expensive, and wasteful *If you want to make 500 arrows from a wrapped bundle.......double click on a fletching knife then click on the wrapped heads; you'll get 50 bundles of arrowheads. do the same for the wrapped shafts and you'll get 50 bundles of shafts. fletch heads to shafts and get 500 arrows) *control-insert will take you to the first spell on a spellbar, control-page up will take you to the last spell. *If your in a tight spot on a one-on-one fight with a creature, just back him into a corner and heal. Notice when monsters attack with melee they take a step back to get the correct distance away, if you charge them when they are not the correct distance they will back up again, without attacking. Likewise you also have to back up to attack. But when they are backed into a corner, neither of you can attack...so you can stand there, heal, debuff him, rebuff yourself, have a cup of coffee, or whatever. Warning: Monsters can still use bows, throwing weapons, and magic while in a corner. * Alternative to having backpack on a hot key to heal. I always keep my character inventory screen open and my mouse pointer always rests over my character. When I want to heal I just 1 & click or 2 & click. You could also rest your mouse right behind your character in the view window. * Turn landscape down, even to 1/8th, to see the lanblock lines better. AI determines notice range not on distance or sight, but by landblocks. By turning it down and makign it more isible, you will be able to work the AI better. * Press Numpad 5 to change the camera to over your charcater's head. this is useful for giving items to PC or NPCs, especially gambling. Also useful for too many stacked corpses in a cluttered dungeon, instyead of madly pressing [ or ] to target the right one. * To quickly buy multiple items, simply target what you want and click the Add ITem button as many as you need. Then switch over to the buy tab and buy all. If you put a few too many just double click the item you want removed till you're back under. * To quickly buy stackables, press T and type in the number and press enter. For example to buy bundles of arrows quicker I would press T, 100, Enter then click Add Button as many times as I wanted. * To split items faster, press T, type the amount, then drag it to a new location or press F. * To be able to zoom fully out move the camera to it's upmost position. So press and hold Numpad 8 till it's at it's upmost. Then press zoom out as far as you can go. From there you can rotate and zoom in as oyu like. But you can only zoom back out if you put it back to the upmost position again. * If you press Enter on Numpad you can see the area with full detail. On slower machines this can slow you down a lot. Also, did you know you can hold Numpad 2 down while in Map View to slowly lower the camera? It's quite slow but it does lower. *The 100% to 96% is the effectiveness of that spell. If you keep casting the same spell over and over, it becomes less and less effective. That is why it is good to keep a variety of spell levels available. For example, I have drainI drainII and drainIII all right next to each other so as I cycle through MOBs, I get the most health I can (which I need most of the time.) *I found that if you are in a fellowship with someone, and they are off your screen, you can click on their name in your fellowship bar, and it will show you where the person is. A little green crosshair comes up and you can run that direction and find your pal. Works really well when you are hunting in the dires, and looking for stuff. You can spit up and get back together really fast. *Use a half dozen or so Fenmalain keys while you can (under lvl 30?) and turn them into Fen portal gems. Then just keep them in your backpack for that emergency situation where you KNOW you are going to die. In such a dire situation just open the backpack, select the portal gem and use it (r key) or dbl click it. Instant escape from death. Or you can go do the dryreach portal gem quest and get a similar portal gem that instantly cast 'recall portal' on yourself. Very nice item, but the quest is 'broken' a lot. *Use the P key to find that Monster you Vulned, then ran from as the whole clan came back. Works so long as the one you vulned is the last one you targetted. *ANYONE can cast level 1 spells in any school. Find a level 3 wand/staff/orb with a diff you can use (I think it needs to be at least level 3 to bump your skill high enough) that casts, say, Life III, then learn Life I spells. Many of those level I spells (e.g., stamina to mana) are strong enuf to come in very handy. *That if you put on all your running buffs and strength buffs when you start running, and then take em all off while you are running, you don't slow down until you stop and start again. That way you can put on those sprint 6 shoes and strength 6 necklace, start your run, replace them with armor and you stay at the same rate. Have to make a long run with a group (like from Qal to 3 towers for instance)? If your run skill is lower than another's skill, while you are running, attempt to heal them while behind them. You will stop for a sec, then start to chase after them. As long as you are behind them, you will automatically follow them, around corners and everything, until you catch them. It has saved me a few times when making a long run and I lag out. Instead of lag-marathon, you either follow them until you log or catch them and stop. *If you hit the HOME key, the monster doing the most damage to you will be auto-targeted. Take him out first. *If traveling thru a place for the first time, or lost. Simply hug a wall. Since all walls enclose in on themselves, either you will go in a loop. So if the wall is the outer wall fo the dungeon, you'll find your way thru a maze easily. Course, if your wall just goes in a circle, pick a different one. *If a creature has been chasing you over a screen length and you'd like to sotp before you run into more trouble or get pounded int he back. Simply stop and turn around. The horrible AC AI is just sometimes overly adamant about getting that one swing, wether it can truely catch you or not. A thowing creature will chase you alsomt indefinitely, if you run away as it is running up to get the proper distance to throw at you. Since it never gets it's proper distance and it must that that one throw at you, it gets perpetually stuck till you stop. *If running a long distance and you want to cut some of your time, no matter how minor. Strafe while running. *Ctrl+F shows your frames per second and graphic degrade rate *You can move the camera view with the mouse as well as the keyboard. Just hold down the right hand mouse button and drag in the direction you want the camera to move! *If you need to heal someone in your party in the midst of combat you can use a medkit and target their name in the fellowship page. Good for when they are swarmed and you can't get your cursor on them easily. Also works for targeting spells etc... *If youre a UA you dont ever need a cestus to do good bludgeon damage. All you have to do is buff your gauntlets with blood drinker, and heart seeker and it works really well! *Mages, when you are in spell mode..ever wish you could get at your item hot keys without having to drop from combat/casting mode? Hold the Ctrl key and the number keys will do your item hot keys instead of your spells.
